In September we welcomed Cathy Reynolds as our new Children and Family Worker. Cathy is studying for a Degree in Children and Family Work with Practical Theology at The Centre for Youth Ministry, whilst working here with us. We first met Cathy when she came to us as part of her training on her gap year (Action Teams) with BMS World Mission. Since then she has spent 6 months in NorthEast Brazil and 2 months touring UK churches. She has also worked as a Teacher Assistant, working specifically with children who have behaviour and anger problems. Cathy likes watching films; listening to music and playing her flute. She enjoys swimming; being with her friends and a good cuppa tea!!
Since Cathy has joined us she has got involved in Chatterbox, the group for toddlers and their parents/carers; Xplorers, the Sunday morning group for 7-11 year olds; she has strengthened links with a local primary school; and she has started The Wave, a mid-week club for 5-11 year olds.
