Social Mission
Following the example of Jesus, we seek to bring healing and wholeness to people locally and globally, through giving, volunteering and raising awareness of the causes of poverty and inequality.
As well as responding to emergency situations and appeals, we partner with a number of charities every year. Our current partners are:
Baptist Missionary Society
Christian Aid
Leprosy Mission
Operation Agri
Aid Box Community
Julian Trust Night Shelter
Aid Box Community
A Bristol based humanitarian organisation set up by a group of ordinary people in response to the continuing refugee crisis. Aid Box supports asylum seekers and refugees with a free shop and welcome hub, activity groups, signposting advice, a crisis fund and a befriending service.
Julian Trust Night Shelter
The Julian Trust is a night shelter for people who are homeless or rough sleeping - offering a hot meal, a shower, clean clothes and a warm welcome.
Baptist Missionary Society (BMS)
BMS works among some of the world's most marginalised people, in some of the most fragile places on earth. The Society aims to bring life in all its fullness through seven key ministries: church, development, education, health, justice, leadership and relief.
We support BMS and pray for our two link BMS workers.
Christian Aid
Christian Aid aims to
• expose poverty throughout the world
• help in practical ways to end it
• highlight, challenge and change the structures and systems that favour the rich and powerful over the poor and marginalised.
We support Christian Aid week each year..
The Leprosy Mission
The Leprosy Mission is a global Christian organisation leading the fight against leprosy, empowering people to attain healing, dignity and life in all its fullness. No one should suffer because of a preventable and treatable disease. The charity works with people of all faiths and none to defeat leprosy and transform the lives of people affected.
Operation Agri
Operation Agri (OA) supports sustainable development work such as agricultural centres to assist farmers, and irrigation schemes for rural communities. OA also supports projects that bring lasting improvement to people’s lives, such as basic health clinics, and women’s empowerment groups in urban slums.
