Social Mission

Following the example of Jesus, we seek to bring healing and wholeness to people locally and globally, through giving, volunteering and raising awareness of the causes of poverty and inequality.

As well as responding to emergency situations and appeals, we partner with a number of charities every year. Our current partners are:

Baptist Missionary Society
Christian Aid
Leprosy Mission
Operation Agri
The Matthew Tree

Matthew Tree
The Matthew Tree Project aims to empower and support people in Bristol who have fallen into crisis, through providing them with food, training and continuing support. We support the the Project throughout the year with regular food donations and particularly when need is highest  - for example during the Christmas and summer school holidays.

Baptist Missionary Society (BMS)
BMS works among some of the world's most marginalised people, in some of the most fragile places on earth. The Society aims to bring life in all its fullness through seven key ministries: church, development, education, health, justice, leadership and relief.
We support BMS and pray for our two link BMS workers.

Christian Aid
Christian Aid aims to
• expose poverty throughout the world
• help in practical ways to end it
• highlight, challenge and change the structures and systems that favour the rich and powerful over the poor and marginalised.
We support Christian Aid week each year..

The Leprosy Mission
The Leprosy Mission is a global Christian organisation leading the fight against leprosy, empowering people to attain healing, dignity and life in all its fullness. No one should suffer because of a preventable and treatable disease. The charity works with people of all faiths and none to defeat leprosy and transform the lives of people affected.

Operation Agri
Operation Agri (OA) supports sustainable development work such as agricultural centres to assist farmers, and irrigation schemes for rural communities. OA also supports projects that bring lasting improvement to people’s lives, such as basic health clinics, and women’s empowerment groups in urban slums.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access. Please let one of the Church Members know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets by the Main Hall.

What about my kids?

On Sundays children are encouraged to stay with us for the first part of the service.  Then there is an opportunity for them to leave for a children's activity based on a bible story. The activity aims to help them learn about Jesus and find out what it means to follow Him at their age, and of course have some fun!
