Children's Work
Children are an important part of our church life and we hope they find it a welcoming and safe environment to be in. We aim, as a church family, to provide for their needs both spiritual and social. Throughout the week we meet many different children and families from the local community. Messy Church has become a very important part of our work with children and families.
Sunday Mornings
On Sundays children are encouraged to stay with us for the first part of the service. Then there is an opportunity for them to leave for a creche or a children's activity based on a bible story. The activity aims to help them learn about Jesus and find out what it means to follow Him at their age, and of course have good fun together while they are!
Uniformed Organisations also meet on our premises throughout the week. We enjoying hearing what they are up to and meeting them on parade Sundays. We welcome children from around the local community through the different uniformed organisations – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Rainbows.
Also...we have worked with the local primary schools around the church and especially enjoy sharing the Easter story with them through our Easter Experience. If you are a teacher in Bishopston and would like to know more about this short but exciting trip for your class, please contact the church office.
