Our Pastor

 Sarah Phillpot writes - I have been the Pastor at Horfield Baptist Church since 2016 when I moved, with my husband, from Surrey. I have been an accredited minister in the Baptist Union since 2012 after attaining a degree in theology from Spurgeon’s College in South London.

My passion is to bring people into relationship with God through encounter with his Son, Jesus Christ, and to journey with them as they grow as part of his family, the church. I believe that God is able to heal and restore us, releasing us to be the people he planned us to be; loved and forgiven, with the promise of hope and a future that Jesus has bought for all who believe in him, through his death on the cross and resurrection to life again.
